Influence of Combined Air-Entraining Superplasticizer and Surface Treatments on Airport Pavement Concrete against Salt Freezing

Effective improvement of the frost resistance concrete in cold regions is critical for durability airport pavement plateau. This paper intends to contribute a better knowledge effects combined air-entraining superplasticizer and surface treatments on against freezing-thawing salt freezing. First, an optimum mixing by considering w/c, cement content, sand ratio, was obtained comparing compressive flexural strength, microstructure, pore distribution, different mixes. From results, mix with superplasticizer, w/c = 0.4, amount at 330 kg/m3, ratio 0.3 selected pavement. Then, this subjected freezing (smoothing, brushing, spraying silane, impregnating silane), spalled mass loss freeze cycles reported. The results show that use can provide obvious Compared silane impregnation, treatment performed much early time.
